hi guys, im thinking of buying a mechanical polisher. is there anything i need to know before i buy e.g disc size, motor size, rpm? i've found some on e bay do you think they're worth the money. its not like im starting up a business or anything, just personal use a couple of times a year. let us know what you think guys. thanx

deffinatly dont buy the seccond one, they are rubbish, and will leave more marks than remove,

the other two seem ok, very cheap,
They are both rotary machine polishers,

go on to detailling world and take a look there,

Yes you should buy one, thye are very good, if you want to remove swirls and light marks, very good. You can use it for applying glazes and wax as well,

I use mine all the time, even if it is just to apply wax, it speed up the task

Personally unless you know what you are doing I would stay away from a rotary and get yourself a dual action polisher these range from c£80 up to c£130 (I think - Megs G220) and do a great job. The most important thing is the right polish/pad combo imo specific to the type of cut you want to achieve (always start with less cut and work up)

No probs mate, might be worth when you are ready to buy anything check out one of the forum vendors (Mark @ autobrite), I called him the other day to get a foam lance and snow foam, real nice and helpful guy and I think we may get discount :hihi

the difference in price between what i was looking at and the maguires 220 is pretty substantial. might have to put it on hold for a bit while i save up and shop around. cheers guys.
