Brake pipes corroded ( Mpt advisory )

Replacement hardlines is either down the OE stainless or the cheaper copper route. Obviously the copper is cheaper (finger in the wind £20 against the OE at ~£130j. It’s not the parts that’s the issue it’s the time to replace all 4 correctly. Another finger in the wind would suggest an hour per line (allowing for removal of original, bending to shape of new and reinstalled). So factor in at least 4hrs labour unless you tackle it yourself.

As it happens mine need doing for exactly the same comment/reason but that’s going the warranty route for me…. fingers crossed, it’s had all its fluid services etc and it’s supposed to last life of car/none service part. Dealer seems pretty confident.
