found this on another site, not sure if anyone has tried it? i have tried all fixes and nothing seems to work long-time, this is based on an e38 but thinking it could work on some other models

I know that anyone reading this thread may have already followed the link, but one important part of the links details points out that it is only applicable to cars from 1995 to 1997. So for everyone else with problems that the link relates to, calm your passions and keep looking for the answer.

Just added this to save any disappointment. Especially as it was only last night that an instrument cluster/lcd issue was mentioned elsewhere here on the forum.
