Hi
I have a BMW 320i E90 2006 model with 65,000km mileage. The car is now smoking when i want to accelerate, i changed the oil separator but still the car is producing smoke when accelerating and the oil consumption has increased requiring me to top up almost every after 100km. Any advice on what could be the problem and experience?

Hello!

Does it smoke on idle? Is the smoke blue?
Did you change the separators with all 3 pipes? And was separator OEM?
If your old separator was bad, your intake manifold is full of oil. It will take few weeks until it is burned out.

Other this is, this engines can suffer from worn valve seals.
Easiest way to tell is to leave it idling for 5 min, and then rev it up. If it blows out a large amount of blue smoke, it will be the seals.
