Hi,

When i turn off the ignition in my car, the 12 volt socket can still be used. Can this be changed so that it powers down? I want to keep my Sat nav pluged in. On that question if i unplug it and leave the power adapter in will it drain the battery?

Cheers

You would have to rewire the socket to a 'switched +ve so that it was only live when thee ignition is on.

Not exactly sure about the second question. These power adaptors are often voltage/convertor/regulators so they may still use power when plugged in.
Should be easy to find out from the manufacturer

I've had mine plugged in for a 3 weeks when my car was parked up in my garage without a problem. The draw on charging is mA so shouldn't really concern yourself too much. Besides, the charging circuit probably cuts off when unit is charged.
