Now that I have unlocked the old machine: I was wondering if someone knows if I can fool the radio into thinking that a CD changer is connected.
In fact all I want is a 3.5 mm jack connection which I can connect to my Phone to do the hands-free stuff and listen to music from it.

It is a Philips Business RDS tape-deck with the 10 pin connector underneath the standard BMW connector.

Just answered another guy asking same, same again, put "bmw aux retrofit kit" into google and stand back while lots of info comes back, even a couple of vids.

If you want bluetooth for calls then one of the add in Parrot kits can interface with most things, but along with the bluetooth phone stuff you also get the music etc on the phone.

The aux in only kits come in about £50, the parrot bluetooth £130-£230 pending on options and who fits it.

- I've been researching adding bluetooth to daughters cars see....
