I recently did an oil change using Shell Helix 10w40 and the tappets are noisy on start up.
Just wondered what oil grade and make of oil do you recommend?
Its an M50 non vanos engine.

5w/40 fully synthetic, That should do it.

Fuchs is a decent oil at a great price mate.

GSF do them.

We keep the correct oil filter for your 3 series, it is £8.82 inc VAT

The correct oil is a 10/40 Semi-synthetic, we use Castrol Magnatec which is very good but we do not sell it over the counter.

Most motor factors stock this oil or use any premium brand of the right grade, ie esso,mobil, BP, valvoline etc.
