ok you can wire a sub using 1 coil, but you have to short the + and - terminal of the UNUSED coil together, if you do not do this then sub thinks its just a big midbass driver, and it wont sound very good. (try and see for yourself, you wont damage anything as long as you are respectful with the volume ;) )

so coil 1 is wired to the amp normally (i.e. + to +, - to -)
coil 2 terminals wired together with a spare bit of wire.

also remember, because you are now using only 1 coil, you have cut down the rms power handling of the sub by half!

yes on 1 of the coils just wire the + and - together.
Then when you wire the other coil to the amp, the amp will see 2ohm, but as I said earlier, because now you are only using 1 coil, you have cut the power handling of the sub in half, so on your sub, thats 250wrms.

Just dont go mad with the gains and bass boost.

turn bass boost off because it is rubbish.
Set LPF to around 60hz to start.
