Good morning all,
I picked my 2009 E92 up on Saturday afternoon and drove it from Stoke on Trent to Cairnryan to bring it home to good old N.Ireland, on the way up the M6 i noticed that at around 60 MPH the rear of the car started making a low rumbling noise (like the noise when you drive along with your rear window down and you can her the wind flowing past the rear wheel..well kinda like that noise) , i think you get my drift! i didn't think much of it i thought it was the road surface and never had a rear wheel drive i thought it might be like this, when i got home i smelt a burning smell and there was a lot of heat coming from the rear near side wheel, i don't believe that heat is coming from the disc brake, could this possibly be a bearing problem? given previous experience busted wheel bearings don't give off loads of heat!
Oh i forgot to mention there is only 62k on the clock, i look forward to some input.
Thanks in advance.
Paul
