hi hope someone can help my rear offside brake is binding on so much it smells :frown but i have to drive tomorrow can anyone tell me wht the worst could be ??? cheers gents
about hundred miles have been trying to borrow a car but no joy so you reckon it may be dangerous , silly question i appreciate just never had this situation before
worst case scenarion is it gets that hot it ignites...though doubtful on a car rear wheel
if you have to drive you have to drive...what sort of journey is it?...mostly motorway?
no...motorway would be better as you wont be touching the brakes as much.
what about hiring a car?...not prying but why do you have to make this journey?
pry away mate, i have an interview mate at 9 o clock of all times not even enough time to get someone to look at it in the morning or arrange o hire car which is a good idea though cheers guess i will just have to take it steady and hope it rains to keep everything cool
good luck with the job
try and drive a bit more defensively than normal...try and coast up to roundabouts using the gearbox to slow down, rather than braking.
its a pita,i know...just sorted my nsf brake caliper.
well an update i got there i didnt crash but i reckon i could or boiled an egg on my disks and not sure i have any pads left :-( but interview went well , , , there is always a silver lining
will let you all know monday i bloody hope so my discs and pads need to be paid for somehow fingers crosssed
