I have had my pre lci (July 06) 535d m sport for almost a month now. 55k miles and I love it to bits. Once thing I find frustrating however, especially when pulling out of junctions and overtaking is the auto box. I would describe it as being lazy and it can take a while to get on with things. The car is plenty quick already but if I were to get it remapped would that also help improve the throttle response?
Please note this is my first Auto car. I came from a Golf R32 with instant throttle response so perhaps thats what I am missing to some extent.
Thoughts and opinions wanted also from non 535d owners if a remap on your other 'auto' also helped the reaction time of the gearbox throttle response.
Note I have also seen the sprintbooster plug in. But I am not paying for something that I can resolve by slamming my right foot into the throttle a bit more. I can get a remap done for not much more as I have been a regular customer with my local remapping company.
