My LCI 530i (N53 engine) with only 41k miles just failed it's MOT on emissions, they said the Lambda sensors needs replacing, even though I don't have any engine management light on. Before spending a fortune replacing all four lambda sensors and hoping it might fix the fault, are there any experts out there who could advise what if anything else could be worth checking.

The test results are as follows:

CO 0.002 (max limit 0.300)
HC 17 (max limit 200)
Lambda 1.038 (should be 0.970 - 1.030)

Thanks
