I've got a 2015 (pre-facelift F31) with 403M alloys.

Just picked up a brand new genuine BMW 403M front and also a rear rim from a private seller. All the sizes match those on my current rims, they look identical to mine, but the part numbers are different.

Part numbers on my original rims are 36117845882 (F) & 36117845883 (R).

The ones I've just bought are 36117850020 (F) and 36117850021 (R).

After a bit of research I've discovered that the part numbers of my originals are for vehicles manufactured up to 07/15 and the ones I've just bought are for vehicles manufactured after that date. As I said though, everything else looks identical.

Anyone happen to know why the part numbers are different?

Thanks - much appreciated!

Trust BMW to do something like that :confused

So does that mean I really shouldn't be putting the newer (lighter) ones on my car with the older (heavier) originals on the other end of the axle?

Starting to have a horrible feeling I now have two very expensive brand new rims I can't use!

I just don't know - I'm guessing it may be a load rating issue and I wouldn't like to speculate if you'd have issues or not

Sorry I can't help further

Good spot though in the first place - you'd think all 403M wheels would be the same
