Hi,

Done a search on the forum but cant find the anwers im looking for so apologies if im going over old ground. I have got Xenon lights fitted on my car and want to change the amber 501 side light bulbs.

I have tried Halfords Laser Blue bulbs which were meant to work but were rubbish and made no difference.. i then ordered some LED side light bulbs but suprise suprise this meant the computer feeds back that the bulb is blown due to the lower power output the LEDs use.

What i want to know is has anyone changed theres and if so how? and are these the two things i will need:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LED-Resistor-...14&_trkparms=72:1301|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

Are these safe? .... thanks in advance!! :thumbsup

This is what I would do G4EDW. Measure the ohms of the original 501 you have fitted using a meter. Then measure the resistance of those LED ones and impedance match them to your originals, i.e. make up the resistance. BTW, those power resistors are too expensive in my opinion, so go and purchase your matched resistors from your local Maplin store. See HERE.
