hi,

i hate the steering wheel on my e36 323, it feels far to big and feels a bit like your driving a bus and not a car! its got an airbag in it so i reckon itll be a pain to change.

id like to get more of a sporty look (smaller, thicker) but retain the airbag. anyone know how hard this is or can recommend any bmw aftermarket wheels that were options for bmw 3 series such as alpina, or the 'm' decal, or even anything that will look decent.

i have attached a pic of my existing double decker bus wheel. :rofl

I got rid of the airbag on my 325
I replaced my wheel with an M-Tech item, removed the airbag warning from the dash and removed the controller from under the rear seat
The only problem you will have is if you have a passenger airbag.
Might not be recommended to remove the airbag but the wheel is a lot nicer IMO.

That looks like the same as the one I had on my M3. I replaced it with one of the later style mtech wheels but still with the single stage airbag. Straight swap. But disconnect the battery before removing the steering wheel to avoid any danger / airbag lights coming on.
