good price, but are they reputable.and no need to use special diesel, although you could throw some forte injector cleaner in,..my car is on 147k with asda,s finest cheapest diesel, just keep your car in good running order,ie servicing oil every 10k and not bmw stupid 18k etc etc
It's illegal to use your car on the roads if the dpf has been removed
Most tuning places will tell you you will get more power if the dpf is removed as there tuning will normally cause the dpf to bloke or they don't know how to set the egr to closed all the time with a dpf still fitted
Also they will be able to sell off your dpf guts and the cat insides for cash ££££
What these companies don't tell you is the cost when you need to refit a dpf to your car when you get caught or the fines
Just ask your insurance and tell them you want to remove your dpf from your car
Any good tuning company will advise you NOT to remove the dpf from your car
As they will still get good power from the car with the dpf still fitted
I have proven a bmw dpf will last over 350,000 miles
I take it this was another Fb tuner with a tuning offer
Here's an example of the 2.0d 177bhp with dpf still fitted
Yes, they do seem a reputable company. EAC performance in Norwich.
The reason I want the DPF removed is because I actually don't do a lot of distance driving.
I bought a diesel because I like how they drive, and I am happy with the car. I've just read a lot of things about the DPF getting clogged and then causing expensive issues.
Any further advice other than "You should've bought a petrol"?
We have never needed to remove a dpf ever on a bmw because we know how what and why they block up
If you are only driving around the town as most of our customers the dpf yellow light will come on as the dpf back pressure will be around 200mb after say after 4-7 months
You will then need to drive the car normally at say 75mph for 1 hour
If it does not regen you would need to bring it to someone like me
We have regened dpfs were others say it needs to be removed
Don't forget who gets ripped off when you remove your dpf
YOU DO !!!!!

I would agree that the dpf should remain in place, if for no other reason than to keep your car road legal and so insured.
As for fuel, I would stick to quality fuels anyway, although its not strictly necessary. Same reason I don't buy 50p washing up liquid or £3 wine, I get slightly better results with better quality products, the cost difference is minimal.
you will pay quite a bit for egr delete on its own,as you are paying for the same equipment set up.but if you get it with remap, then its usually thrown in on the deal.
A lot of tuners say they will not delete the egr if you are keeping your dpf in place
This is because they don't know how to set the egr to stay closed all the time without causing the dpf regen process to have problems
We have doing egr deletes (setting the egr to stay closed all the time through the ecu software) for many years with the dpfs still regenerating as normal
If you are coming down to London we can remap your car for you on our dyno
