I have a 318i touring P reg and put a 318is engine from a p reg coupe i have no spark i changed all the engine wiring loom Are all the sensors the same? I dropped the engine from the hoist so dont know if this could cause a problem. HELP please:embarrassed

Have you swapped the ECU, EWS MODULE and EWS CHIP over?

Without the above items being swapped the vehicle will not start (EWS = Electronic Watchdog System = Anti Theft/Immobiliser)

I bought a 318is and did an M3 conversion and many people on other forums used to tell me just to buy an M3 when I was asking for info...:shifty:

ive got a solution, get rid of the engine and buy my 328i lump, its starting to do my head in now, if i ant shift it that means i have to finish the project:frown
