Agree with the comments here. The extra 12v sockets are around £45 when specified on a new car. Seems a no brainer when spending over £30k but from my experience it is seldom seen on 520's. It is similar to the ambient light pack, which is around £220 and is not standard on 520's. An after market fit falls in to the too difficult box for most BMW main dealers. I think they would do it if you threw money at it. The parts seem to be specified on the parts list and if the wiring loom has the connectors then is should be a simple fit but there again if it was we would all be doing this!

My solution to the Dash Cam power was to route the cable to the rear 12v and buy an after market adapter. You will probably need to buy an extra long power lead of around 4m but routing it out of site is not too difficult. Mine has 2 x 12v sockets and 2 x USB. It also has blue illumination around the sockets too. Can pick these up on amazon for around £15. Not ideal if you regularly have 3 in the back but other than that it is fine. If you do manage to retro fit the original sockets please keep us updated. Good luck.
