Has anybody had the rear struts off one of these?

I'm really struggling to get the bottom bolt of the strut. It appears to be torqued to 250Nm and is especially hard to get at. BMW designed it so that it faces inwards and is surrounded by all sorts of other bits of suspension. I just can't get a breaker bar on it with enough movement to swing it.

Any brilliant ideas?

Right.... answering my own question.

The bottom bolt is fearsomely tight. This would be trivial on a ramp but not so cool on the ground. I had to jack it up as high as I could get it, then a massive breaker and an extension just got it moving.

What wasn't clear to me is that the strut pushes down the wishbone by a fair bit. So when you release it it springs up and there's no room to get the strut out never mind get it back. I jacked it back down with a bottle jack and that got the clearance
