2009 E61 520D 177bhp Touring - new owner, info requested

Hi Everyone,

it's great to be back as a Bimmer owner after a bit of an absence. My last car was a 2003 E46 M3, but I replaced that with a quite opposite, 57 plate Honda Accord CDTi, which incidently has been a magnificent servant with flawless reliability - the sole reason I bought it in the first place really.

However, my boss is moving back to USA and selling his 09 520D Touring, so I'm purchasing that off him next month as a private trade.

Since I won't be purchasing from a main dealer with all those advantages, I just wondered if anyone on here could get more info on the car for me prior to me receiving the keys. For example, I know it was purchased from Partridge BMW in Eastleigh/Southampton about 20 months ago, and was recently serviced there. I also know it's the 520D 177bhp M Sport version, automatic with sat nav and idrive etc. That's the fairly easy bit.
But I'm less sure about the actual spec of the car, such as is it the Business Edition, is it an 8-speed auto box etc. etc. I know this site helped me find the overall spec and history when I owned the M3, so was hoping maybe someone could help me confirm the exact spec of this car, any options/extras it was built with. That kind of thing.

The car reg is YG09 XRL.

If any one could help that would be much appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to purchase additional BMW warranty on this car, and indeed if it's worthwhile.

Thank you in advance to anyone who reads and can respond

Here's looking forward to endless hours trawling the forums and reading all the posts again.
Kind regards
Gareth

P.S. Next stop, Simon at E-maps me thinks.

Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to purchase additional warranty (unless it is available 5 years from the initial purchase and not 5 years from the production date). Which is a shame, since when these engines fail (and they fail in an epic way) the costs are astonishing. Also, the E6x was never available with an 8-speed auto.
