Swapped my E38 728 for a E93 Convertible ...

However, where the back seat backrest flips down to create a parcelshelf, it won't stay up! The two buttons on the top of the backrest are stuck in the down position, and I wonder if anyone has advice?

the actual lock is in the middle of backrest mines quite stiff and needs a good slam to shut it.try slamming back and pressing in middle

Just spray some wd40 or silicon spray around buttons either side of the seat, you may need to use a knife to prize the button back up, push the button in a few times to work the WD40 around the button and hey presto the buttons should now work as designed and the seat back will lock in place.
