Hello to all you sages out there.

Hopefully simple answers to my questions.

Just has an front brake pad, oil, micro/air/oil filter service done (mileage, 81,400). On checking the service book, I noticed that the fuel filter has never been changed on the car.
A little research indicates that the N53 only has an in-tank fuel filter, not the usual in - line option as on the N55 etc.

Questions are:
1) Should it be a regular maintenance item ?
2) If not, Is this a "Life Time" Item (whatever that means) ?
2) Can / should I get it changed for purely preventative reasons ?

Over to you ladies and gentleman !
