I cannot seem to find much information on this - I have an E91 '07 330d M sport touring with Michelin Pilot Sport RFT tyres (225/40 and 255/35 R18)

I am trying to find which pressures people find to be optimum for performance, handling and minimising wear - door post seems to indicate 2.4 front and 3.2 rear..

Any info much appreciated..

the door info is what people would regards as optimum, to increase or decrease from those values would accelerate tyre wear

3.2 in the rear looks pretty high to me, that's 46psi - is that fully laden?

My thoughts exactly...should be 2.8 average if it's 255/35/18s.

I run mine 36F and 42R when fully loaded, you can get quite a lot of weight in a touring.. (On staggered 18" MV3's), I reduce that to about 32F and 36R under normal conditions, seems to work for me:thumbsup

Thanks all - the 3.2 was fully loaded so my bad. The door panel actually says 2.6r and 2.4 front (38 and 35) but I may reduce to 36 and 32 and see how that feels..

Just beaware in a lot of the threads on cracked alloys and rft non compliance with recomended tyre pressures gives bmw a get out.
