Hi All,

I have just recently bought a 120d m-sport, 2007 163. I would like to connect my Ipod and would like to know how much control you have using the Aux connection? I have the BMW business head unit with multi-function steering wheel. Can you change tracks as well as volume? I have yet to buy the lead to connect - I notice this comes with USB as well as Aux connectors, does this also charge the Ipod if connected via Aux?

Cheers

AUX is just for sound input to the HU. You won't have any controls so you will need to change tracks etc. manually on your ipod. Look into retrofitting a BMW ipod kit instead.

Thanks NealP, when you say BMW IPOD Kit, do you mean get this done at a dealership? If so, any ideas how much it would cost, or can it be done relatively easily if i got the parts myself?

Hi OP

Like Neal said AUX is only a sound line in, wont let you change tracks.
but you can adjust volume.

Im guessing you dont have a Sat-Nav?

also look at aftermarket products like dension they will integrate bluetooth as well as ipod
