Hello good people

I recently had my car oil changed in Feb 2013, but these past couple of days the sensor is telling me i have about the minimum of oil in and +1oil is displayed which i assume means i need to add 1 litre as oppose to me thinking it only has 1litre left.

My question is can this be right that oil needs adding so soon? and if so am i right to think i need to add 1 litre? i

I have the castrol edge 5w-30 fully synthetic which i believe is the correct one.

check the dip stick first as oil level sensors can play up sometimes
if its at min put 1lt in

Thanks Payno but unfortunately the car doesnt have the dip stick...

I'd put the litre of oil in.

There's a chance that when it was serviced that they under filled it, OR it could be using oil.

How many miles has it done? - Total mileage and since service.
Are there any signs of an oil leak?
Is it burning oil?

If you get a bit of white smoke at idle or when pulling off then you might need your oil separator replacing. Either way put the litre of oil in and monitor consumption.
