I have today received my upgrade mobile phone and it would appear it is not compatible with my X5.
It is a Nokia 5800 (new out) and I once paired it shows CONNECTED then immediately DISCONNECTED.
My question is this, is it worth sending the phone back or will every new phone not be compatible? I have the option to return the phone but the Nokia forum advises that the issue might lie with BMW in that the bluetooth is outdated (?)
Also, if its not worth returning the phone whats the next best option to the factory fitted itegral unit?

cookie, your bmw bluetooth should work fine and so does your new nokia 5800 (or at least I hope it does)

Couple of questions:
1 Have you had a mobile phone connect to your bmw bluetooth in the past?
2 What security options do you have on the 5800 bluetooth? You may have to "authorise" the bluetooth BMW pairing to allow all or something like that.

Please let me know how you get on. Red :)
