I've recently bought the above (my first BMW) and although it has all the mobile phone buttons on the steering wheel, I don't think it's got a built in phone or that it's bluetooth enabled.

Which phone system (if one exists) would you reccommend me fitting in order for me to be able to use the built in steering wheel controls to answer/make calls etc.

Personally, I would go for an aftermarket bluetooth kit, with the correct ISO loom, to work the controls on the wheel. The OEM retrofit is difficult to fit and would consist of installing the shark fin antenna as well for a neat install.

Look into the Parrot kits...Clicky. I've fitted a couple into E46 models in less than 40mins :thumbsup

Parrots are great value for money, IMO Parrot is as good as factory in terms of quality of microphone/reception.
