Hi all,

I'm new around these parts but not a new BMW owner - I previously had a lovely 330CI MSport but had to sell due to small child but now have a nice 120d Sport with Pro Nav system.

My question is: I've been reading (a lot of conflicting stories) about the ability to get 7-digit post code search to work on these systems. As I understood it, the hack involves using POI's for post-codes rather than a specific post-code search.

I 'obtained' a 2011 nav disc from a site but unfortunately it doesn't do the 7-digit post-codes, rather it just does speed cameras.

So, is it possible in any way shape or form to get some kind of 7-digit postcode system working on my satnav?

Wow! I'm totally confused by this now. I simply assumed the 'workaround' for iDrive units was to use POI's for 7-digit postcodes. It would appear I'm wrong. Or am I? I'm not bothered about entering 7-digit codes in the 'city' field - just any sort of 7-digit code finding would do... I don't want to get a TomTom I really don't!
