Hi chaps,

I'm a newbie here so please treat me gently!! I have bought a new towbar for my 04 X5 and will fit this myself as I guess it's fairly straightforward.... Only problem is the wiring for the electrics. Is this fairly straightforward or do I need the services of an auto electrician bearing in mind I can just about wire a 3 pin plug
Anyone in the Tunbridge Wells area up for a bit of assistance in exchange for a beer or two? :thumbsup

Any advice from you experts greatly received.

Where did you get the towbar from? Is it a BMW item? If so it won't be for the faint hearted fitting it :eek

X5 Towbar fitting

Hi

I have fitted a tow bar to my X5 2005 E53 i fitted a westfalia detachable which was'nt to hard the best with the wiring is to fit a dedicated wiring kit which just plugs into the near side rear and works in conjuction with the vehicles suspention reverse sensors etc i bought mine from www.pfjones.co.uk for about £99.00 but that was about 6 monthes ago so i don't know what price they are now hope this helps
