Hi, the DISA valve has been removed previously without problem, but now there is no obvious way of disconnecting the electrical lead. Pressing, pulling, twisting does nothing, and there is no release spring clip. Can anyone advise please? Thanks, Are.

There should be a wire release clip on the side that faces the DISA, push it in and pull the connector up. It's similar to the one on the MAF that's facing up.

If that's not there is it possible the connector has become damaged?

Thanks Thomson, I found the release clip on the connector after you pointed out its location.
The DISA had been clattering, even though there appears to be nothing wrong with it, and after a light clean and replacement it is now quiet? I'll listen for it tomorrow after a cold start. Thanks again, Are

Make sure your DISA is in good condition - if it breaks apart pieces will go into the engine and cause damage..
