yes to work and back about 2 miles

a little on the top of the dip stick but not in the oil itself

You need to give the car a good long blast down the motoway or similar, and then renew the oil and filter.

It sounds like a bit of condensation to me mate. The car doesnt get far enough to get to operating temp, so condesation forms. Take it for a good long run over easter :thumbsup

Most probably oil has entered the cooling system. Has the car overheated or been sprayed on with cold water when hot?

as already said...its condensation that isnt being evaporated due to the engine not reaching temperature.
the effect is causing the oil to emulsify,unfortunately this effect is irreversible so you'll need to change the oil and give the car a decent run once a week.
