Hi all,

I have attempted to fit my own head unit and considering i'm not normally the most hands on kinda girl I haven't done too bad. It's in and the wires are now behind the glove box, so not in the way, but it doesn't sit where it should.

It fits in fine at the bottom but at the top it sits about 0.5cm out. I think because the original head unit was on a slight tilt thats the problem but i can't work out how to rectify it?

Has anyone else had this problem? resolved it?

Thanks

Try fitting it without the wires to see how it will fit with no obstructions behind it. Then consider drawing the wires into the glovebox area as you slide in the radio. There is almost no room back there for wires as you know. Also make sure nothing else is obstructing the radio like bits for the heater vents.

As above,

When i fitted my alpine HU, it is a pain to slide it in, get somebody else to help, pull the wires in to the glove box as you push it back,

Do you the rubber bit on the back of the new HU? try taking that off or putting it on
