Hi, I have a 2003 X5 and have lost all sound coming from the left channel.

I am a novice with cars but want to check a few things myslef before putting into a specialist to be checked over.

can anyone help me with things to check 1st and how to check them.

Where is the AMP stored and where are the speaker connections for this, though best to swap over the left and right channels 1st to see if this is amp related.

Are they are fuses that are on the amp and are there seperate fuses for left and right channels.

Thanks in advance guys for any advice and support given.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, yes it does have Sat Nav.

Can you advise me where the amp is so I can remove it.

The BM54 is in the boot somewhere. I think in the amp rack or under the floor. Note without a BM54 all your audio and FM will cease to function. Note you also probably have a large black Lear/Alpine/Becker/HK audio amplifier, and the two are not the same.
