Can anyone help. I have a factory fitted bluetooth phone kit in my 320D sport touring. Having owned the car for two years, I have yet to be abe to use the bluetooth effectively. The receiving sound quality is great but the transmit quality is very poor. I have to shout (and go hypoxic!) for anyone to hear me. I do not know where the microphone is located either! Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly received or should I give up on it and buy a Parrot!:frown

The microphone is located just above the driver's side head lining...next to the interior light., you will see some cut out slots there. Newer models have them on both sides.

The mic is located in the roof near the mirror/light module.

Check that the mic is in the right way (arrow pointing forward).

Have checked mic is in correct way and all looks OK. Should I consider replacing the mic as it is very difficult for people to hear me?

no idea of what your problem is mate but have you tried A N Other phone just to be sure it's not your phone or a setting on your phone for example..... just a thought like...

And there's defo no broken wires at the mic or obvious damage / kinks in the visible wire.....
