hi guys, i'm getting a knocking noise from the drivers side front wheel, on a facelift M sport. had the car MOTd the other day and got told i required a ball joint. just wondering if i can just replace the ball joint on this side or should i do passenger side too. plus is there in any other components i could change whilst the car is on the ramp in regards to the suspension. also where would be best place to purchase the parts from. sorry for all the Q's. thanks in advance

It makes it far easier for people looking up help for their own problems or conversions if they have the same car.

And you'll need to get a whole suspension arm. While the ball joints can be replaced, hardly anybody does them as the arms aren't that expensive and hardly anybody has the tool to change them.

Euro car parts is a good choice for parts.

be careful when choosing your wishbone wether you have stock or Msport suspension..

Oops thanks for correcting the title, right so would i need to get arms for bothe sides of the car i.e passenger and drivers side? i have M sport suspension, so what make would you recommend i use. why is there such a big price difference on euro car parts

Standard arms available as Value line wisbone kit, 2x wishbones and 2x RCABs for £354 less any further discount you can receive.
Its been posted that the Msport arms are also available as Value line but as yet not confirmed by that member :thumbsup

Cheapest place i know of for lemforder (oem supplier) m sport lower arms is c3bmw.

FEBi do a reasonably priced kit for Msport a decent make but i dont know what there wishbones are like tho i have no complaints with brake pads and sensors made by febi on my car..

Before shelling out your hard earned check out Febi Rear Control Arm Bushes (RCAB) cos if my memory serves me right they don't get rave reviews :frown
