Hi ive got a 540 e39 cant get my cental locking to work,the key opens boot with botton,doors dont,works fine with key,ive tryed coding,key car not picking it up,there is sensor??? is it in mirror???

baz - the battery within the key charges through the barrel when the car is running - it may not be holding enough charge - if you have the diamond shaped key then unfortunately you cannot open it up to replace the battery.

If a new key is required then be prepared to hand over between 100-150 quid to the stealership - oh and they will want V5 and passport etc....
