I have a 2002 320d auto, and have a bad engine vibration coming through steering wheel, pedals etc. Has been into BMW dealer twice, they have checked the turbo and generally messed about with it and charged £200 but they have not been able to identify the problem. The car performs well, with no other problems, but is not very nice to drive because of this. Any thoughts?

Wheel bearings? Poorly fitted alloys? It may be worth just having the wheels off and putting them back on.

Is it all the time or just during breaking or accelerating?

Thanks but the vibration is from the engine....Vibrates when stationary. As the speed builds up, the vibration is still there but eventually gets lost amongst general road and other vibrations. Thought it may have been engine mounts but local BMW dealer says not.
