Hi all. My mum and dad have recently bought a 2002 E46 320d Touring. The car has been fantastic until about a week ago. It is fitted with the standard TV/Sat Nav/Radio. The problem is that the FM radio band no longer works, you can view the stations that are programmed to the unit but there is no signal to transmit the station. Long wave and medium wave work fine. Any ideas??

Cheers

The signal IIRC is picked up via the rear most window on the NS (Passenger Side) below that window behind the trim is the antenna for the radio.

The fault could be damaged loop on the window if it's been scratched (possible if the car was ever owned by someone who had their dog in the back) or it could be a problem with the antenna itself.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to tell for sure but I am suggesting where I would start in locating the problem:thumbsup
