Hi everyone,

I have JUST bought a 2002 320 convertible auto.

Its a nice car, but obviously there are some issues. i bought it for very cheap!

The auto box is great, BUT when driving at certain speeds it keeps changing gear. normally from 4th to 5th, or 3rd to 4th. I will be going at a steady speed of 40mph and the revs will keep changing as it keeps changing gear for no reason.

Any ideas?

I have overcome the issue by either going 75mph so it just stays in 5th, or swtiching to the tiptronic so i change the gears manually.

if it was me i would go to a place that deal in auto boxes they should be able to tellyou.

Are all the tyres the same size? Just a simple check first !
