Hi Guys,

I changed the oil and oil filter at the weekend. as well as the coolant. - actually only drained the radiator and topped up with new coolant mix. used the air bleeder and no air in system. not overheating either. and level is just below max. the car is driving much better than it was. However, since then the car has an idling problem. car races from about 750 to 1500 rpm every 3/4 seconds. -

any ideas? is the idling problem related to the changes??

Check your oil cap & dipstick are seated properly also check vacum hoses

Make sure the dip stick is 'clicked' back down in to the tube and that the oil cap is secured properly.

Oil Filler and Filter caps are OK as is the dipstick. Went for a short drive today - about 5 miles and the idling was OK. - is it just taking time to settle after the changes?

what are the vacum hoses?
