My 145,000 mile 530d has gradually developed a smoking habit over the past 20,000 miles. The engine and turbo were replaced with new at 97,000 miles and she has been run on LL01 oil ever since, serviced every 10-15,000 miles, doesn't use a drop of oil and gives a nice 40mpg when sat at 85mph.
What causes the black brown smoke on 3/4 to full throttle? I suspect over fuelling as if I snap the throttle open the problem is worse.
Is there a cure?
Thanks in advance
Ross
