hey... pretty simple question to you lot! just want to make sure i dont make a stupid mistake and put the wrong stuff in as i hear there is quite a difference between products..
which anti freeze should i be using for my 2002 325ti compact E46... its just to top it up as is looking a little low.

Mine cost me £7 from fairfeilds BMW 1.5L of the stuff (undiluted) just do a 1:1 Ratio with Battery water. And yes, be careful what u add - some specialist renewed mine, put the red antifreeze in without draining the system in full and when I drained it - some bits were clumped!!!

Depends - if the main component is ethylene glycol ur ok - but don't look at colour alone (BMW is Blue) - but you need to make sure it does not contain phosphates as this reacts to the aluminium in the block and esp to the radiator causing leaks in the long run.

could you remember to add the vehicle details in the thread title next time as per forum rules please, they have been done for you this time. It makes it far easier for people looking up help for their own problems or conversions.
