First thing to do is look for any air leaks in the vacumn pipes Umar. Especially the main boot for the MAF and throttle body housing. There is also one under the manifold cover which is common for splitting.

it may be a sensor fault...have you had the lamda probes changed?...or are they original ?
what sort of mileage is your car showing?...lamda's can fail from 60k upwards.
the car has done around 72k!

if it were 02 sensor then shouldnt that come up as the fault code?

and if it is lamda then which one do i change? :confused

If the light came on then there is a fault code there, what scanner did he use and was it a BMW dealers or BMW specialist that scanned the car?

Or did they just scan the EOBD codes which is no good.

yes it should...as Ronnie says, where were your codes read?
if you can get the dme checked by someone who knows what they are doing, with the right gear it may give you a clue :)

but if it doesnt, shall i continue to drive it?

in terms of MGP, i put in £35 and i got around 180 miles town drvining...careful not too rough too, does that sound right or too low?
