Over christmas, I decided I wanted to do an oil change on my 2001 330i, but I couldn't believe how tricky it was to jack up.

The picture above (from the madrussion how-to) shows this central jacking point, but my car doesn't seem to have it. So, if i put the OEM/trolley jack under the rubber jacking points on the sills, then where do I put the axle stands?

So, where can I jack the front up from?

Cheers

i use a trolley jack under the jacking point on the sill and a axle stand under a suitable point on the chassis and yes i know it hasnt got a chassis as such but the front and the rear have chassis legs which can be used, alterantively mount the stands off any of the fixed mounts for trailing arms, wishbones etc this is dependant on what your doing to the car obviously

i use a suitable peice of wood (a cutdown fence post) and span the front reinforcement plate and chassis with it then trolley jack under it till i get the axle stands under each of the sill points..
