Hi all...
On going issues, but fresh question.
Car is currently at BMW, for lack of go issues. They are having trouble finding my lack of performance issues.
I fitted a new air flow meter, Bosch from euro, prior to it going in.
It was a direct replacement, having same part number.

What would the effects be if it's not been programmed by BMW?
It idles fine, but won't rev over 3k. Could it just be it needs programming ?

Don't think yours will DDE 5 Scott, might be DDE 4 or, iirc, if its the 136bhp model DDE 3.

Have you tried disconnecting the MAF and driving car to see how it performs?

Not revving over 3k is also symptom of pre-supply pump failing on the common rail 150bhp units.

E46 320d, Maf, signs of not being programmed

Thanks guys. BMW currently have the car, as I was at end of tether.
It is the 136bhp version.
When I did disconnect the Maf, it was soooooooo slow, did rev over 3k but slow, would adapt to it tho disconnected and go ok, but still too slow to drive really.
What would this indicate?
Thanks again
Scott :)
