Have just bought a 525i with TV and Sat Nav. Was wondering is it possible to have the TV bypassed (reasonable cost) so that it can be viewed once you start to move. Realise it is probably illegal but her indoors is frustrated at not being able to see anything.
Also will a copy of my friends (2009 320d) latest satnav DVD work in my car?
Help appreciated.

Take a look at this LINK for a TV in motion adapter. Your firmware is too old to run the 09-1 disc, so you will need to upgrade it. Have you got Professional or Business package?

Thanks. I have contacted the Link crew about a suitable device. From reading their web site it appears it is only available for the E39 M5 but I have asked anyway.

There are two ways to get the TV available when on the move :

1) A hardware adapter that block the messages that the car is moving.

2) A software 'code' that allows the TV to be on all the time. You will need a Resler iBus interface and NavCoder software, total price is about the same as the hardware adapters, but you can do other things with the software.
