Hi All,

My 2001 525d has a tempermental fuel gauge and i want it fixing. Now, i COULD swap the clocks, but i, guessing
i need clocks from a manual diesel, as it says diesel on the fuel gauge. Ive looked on Fleebay, and theres LOADS
of petrol ones, but no diesel ones (dunno if it makes a difference)

OR, i can send my clocks away to get repaired, but to who?? I dont want to be paying £2-300 pounds just for
a slightly dodgey fuel gauge.

Any ideas anyone?? Could i use a petrol cluster in my diesel??

Ok, cheers, ive got the "how to" printed off for that. My local indie (without fully checking the car) said it'll be the clocks. I too thought sender but he did insist its the clocks. I'll do the test a see what it displays. Is it best to wait till the tank is near empty???
