Experienced wheel wobble after going over bumps so just had my front steering bushes thingumy wotsits replaced (oh er missus) and wheels balanced and wheel wobble is now gone except when breaking at motorway speed. Tested emergency breaking and no problem there. Steering still feels like it is "wandering" and not very positive as it was when I first bought my lovely beemer 10,000 miles ago. Suggestions welcome. Please don't say it will cost me a packet as my husband has just been made redundant. If you really think it will be an arm and a leg job, try to break it to me gently...

Personally I would have the air pressures re-checked and a four wheel alignment check.

I would also advise have the top strut bushes checked:thumbsup

Another factor could be a sticky brake calliper:thumbsup

If it was the front suspension arm rear bushes that were replaced then that is a good start, you may have a worn ball joint on a or both front suspension lower swivels, this can give you a wobble
