Hi All,
I am new on here and have recently acquired a 2000 E46 330 Ci Convertible Sport. I have spent a fair amount on it including new tyres, (Pirreli's) new BMW front shocks, front control bushes and trailing arm bushes to the rear then completed all with a four wheel alignment. Despite Genuine BMW parts being fitted and correctly so, the car still has a "dead feel" to the steering and is disconcerting at speed through long bends. There is a small amount of play in the wheel and so could I ask if anyone has a cure, also is there a steering knuckle or joint in between the rack and the steering column as I wonder if this has aged. Otherwise the car is smooth and huge fun. Hope someone might have a few momments to advise?

Many thanks

I dont know what you mean by "dead feel" but i noticed that my bmw steering was much heavier then my focus was. I'm hoping it is normal since its a sport one it is meant to have less assistant (dont qoute me lol).
