This morning my 2000 - 320D - E46 with 208K kms suddenly died as I was accelerating through 2000 rpm. No previous signs - always started on the button.

Fuel appears to be getting to the injectors however it is not making any effort to fire up. I have not seen a similar problem in the first 30 pages of the forum. Suggestions most welcome. Thanks

Did you solved the problem mate?

It happened to me on the motorway as well. It was the injection pump electronics. It may still spill a bit of diesel at the injectors but it won't built enought presure to fire up.

Try a diagnosis. In case this happened, you should get an error related to injection solenoid.

Could be a valve or a sensor also (cranck position sensor, camshaft position sensor, etc. )
